Vic’s Ice Cream, Land Park 1968

Did you see the Food Quiz in today’s Sacramento Bee? I learned a lot from Elaine Corn and Maryellen Burns culinary questions! And since Vic’s was featured in one of their questions, it seemed like a good time to scan and post this treat! I didn’t know that Vic’s is the 2nd oldest ice creamery in Sacramento—it opened in 1947.  The awning and the reflection in the pavement make this one pop… and I’m not even commenting on the gas prices! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Ice Cream parlor in 1968

  1. I have spent happy time here for my entire life…love the hot dog sandwiches with sauerkraut and a milkshake from homemade ice cream!
